I went to Duquesne University to earn my bachelor's degree in biology, and minored in Spanish, math, and biochemistry. I then continued at Duquesne to earn a masters degree in forensic science and law. I currently work in forensic DNA. Because of my academic background and professional experience, I really enjoy tutoring science and math topics. I've had tutoring experience throughout my academic career, assisting in after school programs and in groups study sessions. I like helping students who are struggling to understand something work through their learning obstacles. I identify my student's strengths, and then I use those strengths to help students develop a better overall understanding of the subject and find success. In my free time, I like to get outside for some mountain biking, hiking, and dirt biking. I also enjoy sports, reading, and spending time with my friends and my dog.
